I'm incredibly proud of this guitar that I built more than 10 years ago as an experiment. It went to a good friend and professional musician, who - as a dedicated Fender® guy - appreciated the versatility of a 25.5" scale neck paired with Gibson® style appointments. When he offered to trade this guitar for a new VIP Custom T-style build, I was more than happy to take it back in. What a cool and unique guitar!

The body was made from Honduran mahogany, routed out, and topped with a bookmatched flame maple top. The neck with Trini Lopez shaped headstock is from the same block of Honduran mahogany with a highest grade ebony fretboard. Pickups are my own handwound VIP Reverend humbuckers that are controlled by a matched set of four 550k VIPots with selected vintage PIO caps.
The guitar was lacquered with 100% old school nitro and tastefully aged. It feels and plays like a vintage guitar.
 
It originally had a stop-tailpiece setup, but when I got it back, I installed an Epiphone® Frequensator tailpiece, which added a wonderful touch of transparency, air, frequency range. The stop-tailpiece studs were covered with a custom made engraved VIP plate, however, the tailpiece and studs are included.
 
Overall, this is a fantastic sounding and playing guitar that stands out!

Like with all guitars, you may have to adjust the setup to your liking and/or to adjust it to different climates. As of now, it is set up with Made in Germany Pyramid Pure Nickel 11s and plays effortlessly with low action.
