I'm incredibly proud of this guitar that I built more than 10 years ago as an experiment. It went to a good friend and professional musician, who - as a dedicated Fender® guy - appreciated the versatility of a 25.5" scale neck paired with Gibson® style appointments. When he offered to trade this guitar for a new VIP Custom T-style build, I was more than happy to take it back in. What a cool and unique guitar!
The body was made from Honduran mahogany, routed out, and topped with a bookmatched flame maple top. The neck with Trini Lopez shaped headstock is from the same block of Honduran mahogany with a highest grade ebony fretboard. Pickups are my own handwound VIP Reverend humbuckers that are controlled by a matched set of four 550k VIPots with selected vintage PIO caps.The guitar was lacquered with 100% old school nitro and tastefully aged. It feels and plays like a vintage guitar.
It originally had a stop-tailpiece setup, but when I got it back, I installed an Epiphone® Frequensator tailpiece, which added a wonderful touch of transparency, air, frequency range. The stop-tailpiece studs were covered with a custom made engraved VIP plate, however, the tailpiece and studs are included.
Overall, this is a fantastic sounding and playing guitar that stands out!
Like with all guitars, you may have to adjust the setup to your liking and/or to adjust it to different climates. As of now, it is set up with Made in Germany Pyramid Pure Nickel 11s and plays effortlessly with low action.

We offer a 24 hr approval period on this guitar. The customer pays all shipping and insurance costs both ways. Before returning any item, customers must start a return request. Returned items must be in the same condition as when they left the store. Unauthorized returns will be refused and returned at the customer’s expense. Returned items are subject to a 10% restocking fee.
