We've been doing a whole lotta homework to get this one right. This ONE, you might ask? Yes! Just like the original PAFs, the HONEYBUCKER is designed to sound great in either the bridge or the neck position.
The output is comparable to our Buddy-Bucker, but the HONEYBUCKER has a few unique features under its cover.
Not only are the coils mismatched to increase transparency and dynamics. We also wound one coil with 42 AWG plain enamel wire (Made in USA to our specs) and the other coil with 42 AWG polyurethan wire to get the best of both worlds - the sweetness and depth of PE and the faster attack and clarity of PU.
Of course, the HONEYBUCKER is cryo-tuned like all of our humbuckers to optimize the magnetic field and thus dynamics and performance of the pickup.
